The Chiefs and people of Amoma, a farming community in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region, have praised Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his humility and integrity, pledging to give him 100 percent of their votes in the 2024 general election.
Nana Dwomor Ameyaw IV, Chief of Amoma, stated that the NPP’s 2024 flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has earned their support due to his longstanding commitment to advancing the development of the area.
During Dr. Bawumia’s visit to Amoma as part of his three-day campaign in the Bono East Region, Nana Ameyaw commended the Vice President for initiatives like the free Senior High School program, which has significantly benefited local households.
He expressed the community’s gratitude to the NPP for improved road networks, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), and the Planting for Food and Jobs programs. Additionally, the ongoing construction of a seven-kilometre road has further strengthened the people’s confidence in the NPP government, as the road project is of great importance to the community.
The chief emphasized that once completed, the road would significantly ease the movement of people and the transportation of foodstuffs to market centers, urging the Vice President to expedite its completion before the upcoming elections.
In his address to the people, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia assured them that his government would continue to address the immediate needs of local communities and called on them to support him in the election.
He reaffirmed his commitment to modernizing agriculture by ensuring that tractors, combine harvesters, and other farming equipment are readily available to farmers, particularly those in rural areas, to help expand their operations.
Dr. Bawumia also reiterated his campaign promises, including providing free tertiary education for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and introducing a credit system policy that would enable citizens to engage in hire purchases.
