Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is set to begin the second phase of his nationwide campaign for the 2024 General Elections today, July 10, 2024. The campaign will kick off with a visit to Nayiri’s Palace in Nalerigu, where Dr. Bawumia will seek the blessings of the King of Mamprugu.
According to the North East Region’s NPP Regional Secretary, Lawyer Sulley Sambian, the Vice President will spend two days in the North East Region, engaging in rallies and interacting with various groups.
“The visit of the Vice President to the North East Region will mark the beginning of the second phase of his nationwide campaign tour. Being a son of the North East Region, the Vice President and his campaign team have thought it wise to come home to seek blessings from his father, the Nayiri, first before embarking on his campaign tour of the North and the nation for that matter,”
stated Lawyer Sulley Sambian.
During the two-day visit, Dr. Bawumia will tour the Nalerigu/Gambaga, Yunyoo, and Bunkpurugu constituencies today, July 10, 2024. On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the campaign team will continue to the Chereponi constituency through the Bunkpurugu constituency.
The statement from the NPP’s Regional Secretary encouraged all party faithful to come out in support of the Vice President. This strategic move underscores Dr. Bawumia’s deep connection to the North East Region and his commitment to engaging with the grassroots as he campaigns across the nation.
