BAWUMIA IN TALKS WITH WEST AFRICAN ELDERS BEFORE 2024 ELECTION

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan is leading a delegation from the West African Elders Forum (WAEF) to engage key stakeholders ahead of Ghana’s upcoming elections.

The Forum focuses on promoting democracy, peace, and security in the West African region.

The delegation has already met with former President John Dramani Mahama, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer for the December 7 election.

President Jonathan’s delegation, which also included H.E. Kadre Desire Ouédraogo, former President of the ECOWAS Commission, is in Ghana on a pre-election mission.

Their discussions focused on ensuring a peaceful electoral process.

The delegation is also set to engage with the Electoral Commission, Ghana’s election management body.
