BAWUMIA URGES YOUTH TO MAKE INFORMED CHOICES

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP presidential candidate, has urged the youth to make an informed choice in the December 7, 2024 election, highlighting the importance of progress over past failures.

He remarked,

It’s a choice between someone who’s had a chance and missed it and me, who’s asking for a chance to deliver.

He urged young people to look towards a future focused on economic recovery, vision, discipline, and dedicated leadership.

Youth Empowerment & Vision
Addressing the youth in Accra, Dr. Bawumia shared that through his engagement, he identified three main youth priorities: education, skills training, and job creation. He pledged that, if elected, he would foster policies to drive economic growth starting January 2025, creating the diverse jobs young Ghanaians desire.

With a “can-do” attitude, Dr. Bawumia expressed his passion for empowering the youth, supporting the vulnerable, and embracing the dreams of all Ghanaians, regardless of background. Inspired by the drive and spirit of the youth, he committed to a government inclusive of young voices, ensuring their involvement in policy-making.

Education & Inclusivity
Bawumia pledged to increase affordable student housing and provide free tertiary education scholarships for PWDs, addressing educational and financial barriers. His administration would set a hiring quota for PWDs and incentivize private sector recruitment. The plan includes integrating scholarship databases, expanding the Student Loan Scheme to all post-secondary students, and implementing the Centralised Applications Processing Service (CAPS) for streamlined admissions.

Lastly, he vowed to complete the Agenda 111 project, ensuring every district has a hospital.
