BAWUMIA WILL OFFER DUTY-FREE VEHICLE IMPORTS FOR NURSES, ACCORDING TO NAPO

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has stated that if Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia becomes president in 2025, nurses in Ghana will be able to import vehicles with engine capacities under 1.8 liters duty-free.

Speaking to students at the Korle Bu Nursing and Midwifery Training Institute in Accra on Wednesday, October 23, Dr. Prempeh, commonly known as Napo, made this promise, generating excitement among the nursing trainees in attendance.

Dr. Bawumia, the incoming president of Ghana, will provide free duty on vehicles with engine capacities less than 1.8 capacity for nurses

Napo further underscored the NPP’s recognition of the crucial role nurses play in healthcare delivery throughout the country. He assured that a Bawumia-led NPP government would implement policies designed to enhance the livelihoods of nurses.

The NPP recognizes and appreciates the key roles that our nurses play in the provision of healthcare to the people, so we shall also make sure that your lives will be better

As I said already, there will be free importation of vehicles with engines less than 1.8 capacity for our dear nurses among other important interventions to make you (nurses) live better and comfortably

Additionally, Napo confirmed that the nursing trainee allowance policy, initiated by the NPP, will be maintained under the Bawumia administration.

Furthermore, Napo stated that the nursing trainee allowance policy, introduced by the NPP, will be upheld under the Bawumia administration.

He warned that this allowance would be eliminated if the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former President John Mahama regain power.

Former President John Mahama and the NDC do not believe in the nursing trainee allowance. If they win, they will cancel it, making life harder for you. So reject the NDC

Dr. Prempeh also emphasized the NPP government’s commitment to completing the Agenda 111 hospital projects, stating that these initiatives will enhance healthcare infrastructure and create job opportunities for nurses and other healthcare professionals.

He urged nurses and nursing trainees to support Dr. Bawumia and vote for all 275 NPP parliamentary candidates.

The NPP cares for our nurses
