Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP Flagbearer, is gaining strong support in northern Ghana, with impressive crowds turning out for his events in the Upper East Region.
In recent weeks, Dr. Bawumia has been traveling through northern regions, engaging with local leaders, religious figures, and youth. His tour has been met with great enthusiasm and large gatherings of supporters.
Dr. Bawumia’s final stop in the Upper East Region saw huge crowds in Bawku, Garu Tempane, Pusiga, Talensi, Nabdam, Chiana Paga, Bolga, and Navrongo. Many people waited for hours, even in the rain, to see him. He spoke about the development projects the NPP has brought to the north, showing how his party has worked for the region’s growth since 2017.
Dr. Bawumia also criticized the previous administration led by John Dramani Mahama. He highlighted that Mahama’s SADA project was a failure and asked Mahama to name any successful SADA project in these northern areas.
We all saw former President Mahama in action. He promised development through the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA).
There is no SADA project in any of the five northern regions. He spent hundreds of millions of dollars. No project, not even a toilet. But today, he says he wants to come back.
Dr. Bawumia’s strong support and large crowds in the north highlight his growing influence and the NPP’s achievements. His tour shows his commitment to continuing development in northern Ghana and marks a significant moment with both leading party candidates coming from the north.
