Nana Efa Apenteng, the Omanhene of the Bompata Tradition Area in the Asante Akyem South Constituency, praised the NPP government for unprecedented developments in his region, particularly in road construction and the provision of schools and health facilities.
He noted that the government isn’t promoting its achievements enough for Ghanaians to fully recognize them and highlighted that, in his 43 years of leadership, he has never seen such extensive development.
The Omanhene urged the NPP and its communicators to more actively showcase these accomplishments, both locally and nationally.
Nana Apenteng made these comments at a durbar in Juaso, Asante Akyem’s capital, attended by various members of the clergy. The event was held in honor of the NPP’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, during his campaign tour on August 15, 2024.
Dr. Prempeh thanked the constituency for their unwavering support and urged them to continue backing the NPP, emphasizing that it is the only party in Ghana that honors its social contracts. He encouraged voters to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the party’s Parliamentary Candidate, Lawyer Kwaku Asante-Boateng, in the upcoming elections.
The event also saw support from prominent NPP figures, including Hon. Kennedy Agyapong (MP for Assin Central and former Presidential Aspirant), Buttey Smith (National 1st Vice Chairman), and Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Ashanti Regional Chairman), among others.
