CHAIRMAN WONTUMI FOSTERS UNITY AMONG NPP EXECUTIVES IN BOSOM-FREHO

The Bosome-Freho Constituency, a significant area marked by considerable divisions among its leadership, has ultimately reached a consensus to collaborate harmoniously in pursuit of breaking the eight.

Despite numerous attempts by party leaders to establish enduring solutions within the constituency, the rigid stances of former District Chief Executive Yaw Danso, current DCE Kofi Adu-Amoateng, and Constituency Chairman Patrick Kwaku Frimpong have posed substantial obstacles to these initiatives.

The party’s Council of Elders and Patrons has conducted several discussions aimed at addressing the ongoing issues among these key figures, yet these efforts have not produced tangible outcomes.

However, on Monday, September 30, 2024, during his visit to the constituency, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi), urged the leaders to prioritize collective goals over personal interests to secure a historic electoral victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Parliamentary Candidate, Nana Asafo Adjei.

Following extensive discussions, Yaw Danso, the former DCE, publicly acknowledged the authority of the Regional Chairman and expressed his willingness to set aside all disputes concerning the constituency.

This public declaration of peace by Yaw Danso marks a significant step towards reconciliation and demonstrates his genuine commitment to unity. Previously a prominent organizer before their 2016 victory, Yaw Danso had garnered support from a faction within the constituency; however, he now expresses his readiness to foster a peaceful environment within the party.

He further committed to collaborating fully with all members to achieve their electoral objectives. The culmination of this reconciliation was highlighted by a warm embrace among these key party figures, constituency executives, and other party members, a gesture that was positively received by the Regional Chairman’s team.

Chairman Wontumi expressed his gratitude to all parties involved for recognizing the importance of reconciliation and unity.
