Chief Hamidu Kabore, the leader of the Fise Zongo community in the Greater Accra Region, has urged the community to rally behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in acknowledgment of his contributions in office and his aspirations for the nation.
During Dr. Bawumia’s visit to the Fise Central Mosque for Friday prayers, Chief Kabore commended him for his exemplary service as Vice President. He encouraged the Zongo community to elevate him to the presidency, enabling him to realize his vision for the country.
Chief Kabore emphasized the positive influence Dr. Bawumia has had on the Zongo community, pointing out his strong rapport with its members, which has resulted in various forms of assistance for individuals, groups, and the community at large, including significant infrastructure advancements.
Dr. Bawumia is one of us, and we should all be proud of him because the nation is proud of him, given what he has accomplished.
Let us throw our weight behind him and give him the support he needs to make history and have a positive impact on the nation for all of us.
In his address, Dr. Bawumia contemplated his political journey, characterizing it as a divine experience and emphasizing that his present role is a result of God’s will.
Many predicted that a Muslim could never be a presidential candidate of the NPP. They openly said it was not possible. But I believed in Allah’s ways, and I am here today because of Allah’s will.
He additionally sought assistance for his presidential campaign, requesting votes in December, as he has proposed policies that will be advantageous for all citizens of Ghana.
Being President is not about me. It is about all of us, our children, and our nation, Ghana.
