Yahaya Kassim, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Amasaman, has vowed to secure a landslide victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s presidential candidate, in the upcoming December 7 elections.
During a community forum on Channel One TV on Monday, November 18, Kassim reaffirmed his commitment to driving development and inclusivity across the Amasaman constituency.
He highlighted his dedication to addressing the needs of the constituency’s diverse communities, including the Zongo, Ga, and Ewe populations, which have traditionally supported the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Kassim shared his vision for Amasaman, stressing that his focus would be on improving living standards, creating new opportunities, and ensuring that all residents benefit from the development initiatives he plans to roll out.
As for Dr. Bawumia, in Amasaman, he can rest easy. I’m promising him no less than 80% of the vote, and I have solid reasons for saying so. Across all 17 electoral areas, I’ve been actively involved in the community. The NDC has relied on support from the Zongo, Ga, and Ewe communities for years.
But when you visit these communities now, you’ll see my work. I’ve drilled boreholes in Ewe communities, provided support, and made sure my efforts are felt across the entire constituency.
The people are beginning to see that I’m genuinely invested in their welfare. This time, they won’t be voting for the NDC. They’ve been let down by the NDC, and they won’t make that mistake again,
Kassim stated.
