In order to garner support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president of Ghana and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate for the general elections of 2024, a political campaign known as the Crusaders for Bawumia is scheduled to begin in the Upper West Region.
As the NPP strives to hold onto power in the approaching elections, the movement, according to its Upper West Regional Convener, Mr. Suleman Mohammed alias Kweku Baako, intends to energize voters in the area to support Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy.
He stated that in order to highlight the accomplishments of the NPP-led administration over the previous eight years, the Crusaders for Bawumia are presenting themselves as a grassroots movement that is aimed at voters from all spheres of society.
Mr. Mohammed stated that the movement, which has Dr. Bawumia as its face, will showcase his vision for Ghana’s future, emphasizing infrastructure upgrades, digital transformation, economic growth, and social interventions started by the NPP administration.
The movement’s launch is scheduled for September 29, 2024, in Wa, the Upper West Region’s capital, and prominent politicians are anticipated to be present.
The goal of the Crusaders for Bawumia movement is to get people in the Upper West Region to acknowledge and embrace Dr. Bawumia’s leadership of the NPP’s future vision.
Dr. Bawumia’s campaign should concentrate on building on the achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration while tackling persistent issues like unemployment and economic recovery as the NPP seeks to increase its term in power.
Mr. Mohammed, the Convener, expressed hope that the Crusaders for Bawumia will be crucial to the NPP’s resounding victory in the 2024 elections.
The political scene is heating up as Ghana prepares for a crucial election year, with both the NPP and NDC vying for Ghanaians’ support on the grounds that they are the most qualified to steer the nation toward the future.
