The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to work with traditional authorities to uphold cultural norms and beliefs.
Dr. Bawumia noted that these cultural norms and beliefs have largely withstood the test of time.
A Bawumia presidency will aim to preserve the positive aspects while reforming the others,
He stated this on his Facebook page following his engagement with chiefs and residents of the Asuogyaman, Lower Manya, and Yilo Krobo constituencies on Sunday, August 4. He also promised that his future administration will enhance collaboration with traditional authorities to address societal issues, including the problem of deviant sexual behavior.
