President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on the citizens of Ghana to support Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the next President in the upcoming December elections.
He emphasized that electing the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, former President John Dramani, would hinder the country’s progress. A vote for the former President, he stated, would reverse the advancements achieved under his leadership in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
After a visit to the facilities of Blue Skies Limited, Nana Akufo-Addo addressing a gathering of supporters in Doboro, located in the Greater Accra region, he emphasized,
This is our election year, and the limited registration has started. Anybody who hasn’t registered and is eligible should go and register. This is because your right to vote is your power.
Also, when the time is up for the voting, our job is simple. The person I defeated, my work since I took over, seems not to please him. I cannot hand over power to such a person. He will destroy whatever we have done when he comes.
He proceeded to characterize Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate, as the most suitable individual to carry on his legacy and guide Ghana towards a successful future.
I am pleading with you to vote for the person I have worked with for the past seven and half years. I have faith in him and I know that he will come and continue the work I have begun.
