The Member of Parliament for the Dormaa East Constituency, Paul Apreku Twum Barimah, of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Ghanaians to have faith in the partnership between Mahamudu Bawumia and Mathew Opoku-Prempeh (Napo) to secure victory in the upcoming December general election.
He emphasized that the party’s decision to select Dr. Bawumia as flag bearer and Dr. Opoku Prempeh as his running mate demonstrates their commitment to retaining power for a third term. Mr. Twum Barimah also extended his congratulations to Dr. Opoku Prempeh on his appointment as the running mate for Dr. Bawumia in the 2024 general election.
He was confident that Dr. Opoku Prempeh would bring a wealth of experience and expertise to enhance the already impressive knowledge and expertise of Dr Bawumia.
Mr. Twum Barimah believes that Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s achievements in restoring teachers’ allowance, implementing the free SHS program, and stabilizing the country’s energy needs will help garner increased support from Ghanaians for the upcoming general election.
With Dr. Bawumia as the flag bearer of the NPP and Dr Opoku Prempeh as his running mate, I can now tell you that we are good to go and solidified to consolidate our base to break the ‘8’ and win the election.
This team is solid to win the election. The pair gives me confidence and hope that we are ready to break the ‘8’ and win the election.
The NPP’s National Council, the party’s second highest decision-making body, officially approved Dr Opoku Prempeh as the running mate for the party’s presidential candidate in the upcoming December 7 election during their meeting at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on July 4th.
