Nana Obiri Boahen, Former Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is actively mobilizing backing for the party’s flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in anticipation of the upcoming general election on December 7.
In his view, it is crucial for Ghanaians to cast their votes overwhelmingly in favor of Dr. Bawumia, regardless of their political affiliations. The NPP member firmly believes that the Vice President is the sole contender capable of bringing about a transformative change in Ghana.
Mr. Boahen expressed his disappointment with Ghana’s classification as a poor nation despite its plentiful natural resources, pointing to a lack of emphasis from the country’s leaders as the cause. He emphasized that Dr. Bawumia possesses the necessary attributes to enact crucial policies that can help elevate the country out of poverty.
His appeal to the people of Ghana went beyond political affiliations, encouraging all citizens to support Dr. Bawumia through their votes. He underscored the significance of acknowledging the opportunities for progress and development under Dr. Bawumia’s guidance.
Please, my brothers and my sisters, everybody listening to me, whether you support the NDC or NPP, vote for Dr. Bawumia. Don’t say that you would not get anything if you go and vote. Vote for Dr. Bawumia.
Ghana should not be a poor country. If our priorities are set right, Ghanaians would not be poor.
He added that Bawumia is the only one capable of leading the people of Ghana to the promised land. It is widely recognized that he possesses admirable qualities.
And the only person who can move us to the promised land is Bawumia. It is universally acknowledged that there is something good in him.
