DR. BAWUMIA ANNOUNCES TRAVEL PROTOCOL SERVICE TO SUPPORT ARTISTS AND CREATIVES

The NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, recently announced a new initiative called the Travel Protocol Service (TPS) to help artists and creatives in Ghana overcome travel and visa challenges.

Speaking during an engagement with tourism and creative sector players on Wednesday, 16 October, Dr. Bawumia recognized the difficulties many artists face when trying to perform internationally.

This is a crucial area that we are clear about,

Many artists have travel difficulties, obtaining visas, and so on to perform. I want to implement a travel protocol service to support artists and performers. This service will enable them to honor performance invitations, seize new opportunities, and engage in cultural dialogues.

The TPS will streamline international travel arrangements and logistics for Ghanaian creatives, making it easier for them to obtain visas and travel for their performances. Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of this initiative, saying,

I think that will really be very, very important for all of you. I know you have all sorts of experiences in getting visas to go and do work.

This announcement highlights Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to strengthening the creative industry in Ghana. By supporting artists and performers, he aims to open doors for Ghanaian talent on the global stage, allowing them to showcase their creativity and culture internationally.

Dr. Bawumia’s proactive approach demonstrates his dedication to empowering the creative sector and ensuring that Ghanaian artists have the resources they need to succeed. With the Travel Protocol Service, he is paving the way for a more vibrant and connected creative community in Ghana.
