The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reassured the chiefs and people of Guan in the Oti Region of his party’s dedication to their development.
Speaking during his campaign tour with the community, he emphasized the NPP’s achievements in the region and pledged to continue building on them if given the opportunity.
Dr. Bawumia highlighted the NPP’s role in creating the Oti Region and a new district for the people of Guan, describing them as essential steps toward addressing their developmental needs.
We created the Oti Region after so many cries. We have created the new district because we know it’s because of development that you wanted your own region and district.
We have given birth to this baby, and we want to take care of this baby,
he said.
He likened the region and district to a newborn baby that needs care and attention.
Dr. Bawumia, who is number one on the presidential ballot, also appealed to the electorate to vote for the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Michael Osibo, who he described as a dedicated representative for the area.
I am running, and our parliamentary candidate is also running. We are both number one. We want you to give us the opportunity to work for you
he stated.
The NPP flagbearer reiterated his party’s commitment to the development of the Guan area, assuring the people that they were a priority.
The NPP has you at heart. Give us the chance to bring you the development you deserve.
he appealed.
Dr. Bawumia’s visit to the Oti Region is part of his campaign efforts as he seeks to secure support ahead of the 2024 general elections.
