William Benjamin Assuah, the former Chairman of the NPP in the Western North Region, has reaffirmed his strong conviction that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate, is poised to win the forthcoming general elections and assume the presidency of Ghana.
Recently, Mr. Assuah undertook an extensive four-day visit to the communities of Kankyiabo, Kama, and Ahibenso within the Sefwi Bodi Constituency, where he engaged directly with residents.
Throughout these interactions, Mr. Assuah underscored the significant developmental initiatives spearheaded by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during their tenure with the NPP, highlighting their commitment to enhancing the welfare of constituents in both the Sefwi Bodi Constituency and the broader Western North Region.
Addressing concerns regarding the current Member of Parliament, Sampson Ahi, who has served for two decades, Mr. Assuah emphasized the necessity of rejuvenating the political landscape in Sefwi Bodi to foster innovative ideas for the constituency’s progress.
He urged the youth of the Sefwi Bodi Constituency to wholeheartedly support Nicholas Andoh and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, citing their dedication to enacting policies that will generate employment opportunities in the digital sector, promote entrepreneurship, and develop skills programs aimed at empowering the nation’s youth.
Mr. Assuah asserted that the young people in the constituency will not only enhance their employment prospects but also play an active role in shaping a promising future, as the manifesto of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party addresses the urgent issues facing Ghana’s youth.
Mr. Assuah highlighted several significant initiatives launched by the NPP government, such as Agenda 111, the creation of the Regional Health Directorate along with associated bungalows, the development of new facilities including the circuit court and judges’ residence, the installation of numerous communication masts, and vital infrastructure projects like the Sefwi Bodi to Ahibenso road and regional medical storage facilities.
The former regional chairman encouraged party members to actively participate in promoting favorable narratives about the party’s parliamentary candidate, Nicholas Andoh, and the presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in order to build support for their campaigns.
He underscored the essential importance of unity within the party, urging members to present a united front in preparation for the December elections to ensure success and fulfill the party’s objective of “Breaking the Eight.”
