The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has urged Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to convey a message of optimism to the people of Ghana throughout his campaign.
Dr Bawumia has spent the last three days meeting with various groups, individuals, and traditional leaders in the Ashanti Region to present his vision and gather their feedback for the party’s manifesto.
Concluding his 3-day tour, Dr Bawumia and his campaign team assessed the condition of several road networks in Kwabre East. Despite the constituency’s significant role in the NPP’s electoral success in the Ashanti Region, the area has been lacking proper road infrastructure.
While efforts have been made by the government to enhance the road network in the region, the Chief of Kenyase, Barima Fredua Agyemang Ababio, is advocating for further improvements.
We’ve been starved of good roads in Kwabre East for a long time. Fortunately, the government has started working on our roads and so far for Kenyase township, all roads have been fixed. However, many more roads in the constituency are in terrible shape and need to be fixed.
The Chief and residents of Mampongten expressed worries regarding their neglected market project. In response, Dr. Bawumia promised the citizens of Kwabre East that he would address their concerns once elected into office.
The NPP appreciates the loyalty of the people of Kwabre East to the party. The market and road infrastructure will all be attended to when I’m given the nod to lead the country.
The NPP flagbearer was summoned by the Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace to provide a clear plan on how he intends to improve the livelihoods of the Ghanaian people.
All Ghana needs is development. You must explain to Ghanaians to understand what you will you to add on or improve on your predecessor’s legacy to better their lives. That way, you can earn their trust.
As part of the government’s initiative to enhance education, Dr Bawumia distributed tablets to more than 4,000 students at the Opoku Ware Senior High School.
This effort aims to provide every senior high school student in the country with a tablet to support their learning. Additionally, Dr Bawumia actively engaged with the business community and leaders of various traders’ associations in the region.
