Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), continues his constituency-focused tour today with a visit to the Trobu constituency.
This visit is part of his ongoing efforts to connect with Ghanaians across the country, listen to their concerns, and share his vision for the future under his leadership.
During his tour, Dr. Bawumia has been keen on engaging directly with various segments of society. On Thursday, he spent an incredible day in the Ledzokuku, La Dadekotopon, and Klottey Korle constituencies, where he shared his vision for Ghana’s next chapter.
I am gladdened by the widespread embrace of my bold solutions to address our unique challenges while preparing the youth for an exciting future. I am increasingly confident that together, Ghana can take the world by storm.
During his engagement in Ledzokuku, Dr. Bawumia met with students of the Lekma Nursing Training College and spoke about the Free SHS policy during a stakeholder meeting. He highlighted how the policy has changed education in Ghana.
When we were elected, total enrollment in senior high schools was 800,000, achieved over 60 years. After we implemented Free SHS, enrollment increased to 1.4 million students in 2023
