The former Minister of Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Atta Akyea, left many speculating about the intended target of a subtle yet pointed criticism he delivered in his constituency on Wednesday.
During the visit of the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Atta Akyea made a thinly veiled disparaging remark, suggesting that an unnamed individual is a drunkard, in contrast to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The MP for Abuakwa South characterized Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a forward-thinking leader, distinctly not a drunkard.
Dr. Bawumia is a wise man. And he is not a drunkard. He is not a drunkard and he is wise.
God has blessed this nation and we are on the verge of being blessed with a wise man who is not a drunkard.
