DR. BAWUMIA EXPLAINS WHY HE CHOSE ”IT IS POSSIBLE” AS HIS CAMPAIGN SLOGAN

Vice President and Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has recently explained the significance of his campaign slogan “It Is Possible,” emphasizing how it represents the divine grace he has experienced in his life.

Dr. Bawumia shared his life story during a gathering with the Christian Clergy of the Ahafo Region in Goaso. He spoke about his journey, beginning with modest origins in the northern part of Ghana, followed by his time working in the United Kingdom and Canada to fund his education.
He detailed his diverse work experiences, including farming, taxi driving, and dormitory cleaning, all of which ultimately paved the way for his current roles as Vice President of Ghana and Flagbearer of the NPP.

When I look back at my life; how I used to work in the farm for extra money as a child in Tamale, how I used to drive taxi in the UK to support my fees, how I used to clean dormitories in Canada for money to take care of myself as a student, and where I am today as Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, surely it is by the grace of God.

The trajectory of my life tells me that it is very possible for God to grant His grace and favour to anyone, regardless of where you come from.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized that his life’s journey showcases the potential of God’s grace and favor, irrespective of one’s background. He recounted moments when doubts were cast on his capability to lead the NPP due to his roots, but his faith in God’s grace inspired him to embrace the “It Is Possible” campaign motto.

This phrase symbolizes his unwavering trust in God’s power to overcome obstacles and uncertainties. Dr. Bawumia acknowledged that although some may question his ability to ascend to the presidency, he stands resolute in his belief that all things are attainable with God’s grace.

But I believed in the grace of God so I said it is possible. They are now saying it is not possible for me to be elected President. Again, I say, by the grace of God, it is possble. I chose “It Is Possible” as my campaign slogan because it reflects the immense grace of God to make things possible.
