The Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia represented the President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the 2nd Biennial Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion (A.M.E) Church at the Pentecost Convention Center (Yesukrom), Gomoa in the Central Region on June 19, 2024.
Dr. Bawumia was amazed to note the many significant impacts the church has made in education, health, socio-cultural, and the country’s general well-being. This is a testament to the usefulness of faith-based organizations in Ghana’s progress, and noting how glad the churches are leading the charge.
The flagbearer congratulates the Presiding Bishop of the Western West Africa Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion (A.M.E) church, Rt. Rev. Dr. Hilliard K. Dela Dogbe for his election as the Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana.
