DR. BAWUMIA INAUGURATES MOSQUE IN SORBELLE COMMUNITY, CALLS FOR UNITY AMONG CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS

The Vice President of Ghana and the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, inaugurated a newly constructed mosque in the Sorbelle community within the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region. The flagbearer funded and built the new mosque to showcase his commitment to community development, the facility was commissioned on June 29, 2024. 

The mosque, a significant addition to the community, is set to serve the spiritual needs of the Muslim population and stands as a testament to the Vice President’s commitment to fostering religious harmony and development across the country.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of unity and coexistence among different religious groups. The inauguration of the mosque marks a significant milestone in Dr. Bawumia’s ongoing efforts to promote religious harmony and community development across Ghana. As the country prepares for the upcoming elections, his actions continue to reflect his dedication to serving all Ghanaians, irrespective of their religious affiliations.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of ongoing harmony between Muslims and Christians in the country.

For us in this country, we are Christians and Muslims and I don’t discriminate because we worship the same God

I help everybody. Let us continue to live in harmony with everyone, our brothers and sisters who are Christians, for the continuous peace and harmony of this country
