Prominent Islamic cleric and scholar, Sheikh Ishaq Nuamah, asserts that the Vice President and NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, possesses the essential character traits necessary for the future leadership of Ghana.
While addressing a group of young individuals during a public lecture and the review of Prof. Etse Sikanku’s book, “Dr. Bawumia and the Modern Vice Presidency,” Sheikh Nuamah praised Dr. Bawumia for his impressive political trajectory and emphasized that he is on the verge of assuming the presidency.
He remarked that Dr. Bawumia’s commendable character has garnered substantial support across the nation, including from the Christian community, despite his Muslim faith.
Dr. Bawumia has never been corrupt and he has never been a womaniser. He has a good character. Even his opponents know that.
Christians are rooting for him because of his character. They tell me ‘as for that man he is very humble’. Yes he is very very humble.
He is also very tolerant. You can insult him from morning to evening and he won’t mind you. Kindness is also one of his traits and it is character trait that when you have, it draws people closer.
Sheikh Nuamah praised Dr. Bawumia, stating that those who collaborate with him can vouch for his diligence and capability.
He is also hardworking and result oriented. Those who are working at close range with him know that he is result oriented…And he is a unifier.
If you watch the campaigns in all the Regions, how many are Muslims? How many Muslims are in this country? But when you look at the audience following him, very huge. Chiefs and pastors who are non-Muslims are rooting for him.
Sheikh Nuamah emphasized the importance of the Zongo community collaborating with the broader nation to support Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming December elections, asserting confidently that he is a trustworthy candidate.
