Richard Ahiagbah, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has asserted that casting a vote for the NPP’s flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, represents a vote for potential and opportunities.
Mr. Ahiagbah emphasized the significance of elections, stating that they carry consequences, and urged Ghanaians to shape their future by supporting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the polls. In a message shared on his X platform, he expressed this sentiment.
Bawumia would keep Ghana’s economy on the upward swing; reset the tax code with the introduction of a flat tax rate and provide tax amnesty for all in 2025; support businesses to create jobs and ensure a responsive healthcare system that delivers better outcomes for Ghanaians, among others.

Dr. Bawumai is scheduled to submit his nomination papers to the Electoral Commission (EC) today, Monday, September 9, in order to participate in this year’s general elections.
He will be joined by his Running Mate and Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, along with the Party’s National Chairman, General Secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and several other Party Leaders.
