President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, has stated that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the most proficient person to succeed him as president.
During his recent visit to the Upper West region, he mentioned that he will not hand over power to the opposition party considering the 2016 elections saw them defeated already.
He also expressed his gratitude to the paramount Chief and people of Waala for their support during his tenure and announced his plans to return to Wa with his successor, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Before the election, I will visit the Waala traditional area to bid farewell and express gratitude for your cooperation during my presidency. God willing, I will bring Dr. Bawumia, my successor.
