The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to bring sustained development and accountability to the people of Suaman if elected as President.
During his visit to the Suaman constituency on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, Dr. Bawumia assured the community that, unlike former President John Mahama, his leadership would offer long-term progress, with a clear vision for an 8-year presidency.
By God’s grace, if I am elected as President, I can lead for 8 years. As for former President Mahama, when voted for, he can only lead for 4 years. This shows that after you vote for him, he won’t return to Suaman again and won’t be accountable. After you vote for him, that’s a bye-bye.
Dr. Bawumia reassured the people of Suaman that he would return to the constituency after his first term to ensure that all his promises, such as the construction of roads, the Agenda 111 hospital project, advancements in TVET, and the establishment of a nursing training college, are fulfilled. He underscored the importance of accountability, noting that his commitment to a second term would drive him to deliver more results.
So after 4 years, I will return to Suaman for accountability, to show you that the roads, Agenda 111, TVET, and the nursing training college I promised have been fulfilled. Because I know I will be held accountable, I will put in more effort to work hard for you.
His message of long-term leadership and sustained effort resonated with the people of Suaman, who were encouraged by his commitment to the region’s growth.
Dr. Bawumia’s vision for 8 years of leadership promises a future of development, progress, and accountability for Suaman and the entire country.
