Following an extensive engagement with the media on Sunday night, Vice President and NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, delivered a dynamic address to a large gathering of supporters in Dansoman last evening.
As part of his campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia visited three constituencies within Ablekuma: West, South, and Central. His campaign activities included a series of interactions that have become a hallmark of his approach, where he personally meets and greets individuals in various public spaces such as streets, markets, and transport stations.
Earlier in the day, Dr. Bawumia generated considerable excitement as he was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic traders upon his arrival at the Odorkor lorry station, Kokompe, and Mallam market. The largest assembly of supporters, however, awaited him in Dansoman, where he culminated his busy campaign schedule.
Music icon Samini, a local resident, entertained the sizable crowd with his well-known songs, including his latest release, “No Pressure.” The energized audience responded enthusiastically to Samini’s new hit, a clever composition endorsing Dr. Bawumia’s presidential aspirations as they anticipated his arrival.
By the time Dr. Bawumia reached the venue, every available space was filled with individuals eager to see him. Addressing the fervent crowd, Dr. Bawumia issued a compelling rallying cry, emphasizing that former President Mahama symbolizes the past, while a vote for him represents a commitment to the progressive advancement of Ghana and its modernization.
In outlining his accomplishments as Vice President and his vision for the future as President, Dr. Bawumia took the opportunity to remind the audience of Mahama’s “poor record” during his presidency, which included the previous government’s failure to supply chalk to schools and a prolonged power crisis lasting four years.
