In a vibrant gathering on Tuesday, July 9th at the Kumasi Jubilee Park, Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, officially introduced Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate for the upcoming elections.
Speaking to a large crowd, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the exceptional qualities of the Energy Minister, praising him as a knowledgeable, problem-solving, and forward-thinking leader.
“Napo is knowledgeable. I have high respect for him. He is a problem solver and a generational thinker,” Dr. Bawumia declared. “We can work together and bring bold solutions to the people of Ghana. Our ticket is full of generational thinkers.”
President Nana Akufo-Addo, also present at the event, expressed his unwavering confidence in the duo’s capabilities. He highlighted his personal experience working with both Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh, vouching for their dedication and hard-working nature.
“I have trust and confidence in the two of them to do the work. I have worked with the two and I know that they can deliver. I am certain that on the 7th of December when Ghanaians give them the mandate, they will meet the expectations of the nation,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
The announcement has stirred optimism among supporters, who believe that the combined expertise and vision of Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh will bring transformative progress to Ghana.
