DR. BAWUMIA URGES AME ZION CHURCH MEMBERS TO WORK TOGETHER FOR POSITIVE CHANGE IN GHANA

Vice President and Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emphasized the importance of collaboration between faith-based organizations and the government to enhance the well-being of the people of Ghana.

He highlighted this during his address at the Biennial Joint Conference of the East, West, and Mid Ghana Conferences in Gomoa Fetteh, Central Region on June 19.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia also discussed the economic difficulties that the nation is presently encountering, underscoring the significance of working together with faith-based groups to address these challenges and uplift the livelihoods of Ghanaians.

We declare our efforts even as the AME Zion church and its members and the president his Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo and I to bring transformation to the lives of our people and communities.

Rev. Dr Hilliard Dela Dogbe, the Presiding Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion, urged the government to implement strategies aimed at revitalizing the economy.

We therefore challenge our government and leadership to provide selfless leadership and good governance and strategic policies to reverse the trend us, yes indeed it is possible.

Your Excellency yes, we all have a role to play but government authorities and policy makers have a critical role to play as managers to steer the situation and reverse the decline.

Rev Dogbe emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum among political participants throughout their campaign activities.

Our campaigns and engagements based on parochial interest, negative propaganda denigrating each other to win power is unhealthy.

I further wish to admonish all of us the electorates to exercise decorum in our engagement, our political party differences, ethnic differences and religious differences should not divide us but rather initiate our unity in diversity.
