Ahead of the inauguration of the Headquarters of the Côte d’Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative, I had the honour of hosting H.E. Robert Beugré Mambé, Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, at the Jubilee House this evening, for mutually beneficial discussions on the ongoing cooperation between our two countries, especially in the area of cocoa production.
The Côte d’Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative is to give full meaning to the Abidjan Declaration of 26 March 2018, in which the Presidents of Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana reaffirmed their willingness to define a common sustainable cocoa strategy, with a view to increasing the prices received by cocoa farmers in their respective countries in a sustainable way.
