President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for his unwavering loyalty and commitment, highlighting their close collaboration over nearly two decades.
While addressing chiefs and community leaders in Wa, located in the Upper West Region, President Akufo-Addo conveyed his strong belief in Bawumia’s loyalty and capabilities, affirming that he has never questioned the vice president’s commitment to the nation.
The President emphasized that casting a vote for Bawumia signifies a vote for loyalty, commitment, and dedication. He urged the citizens of Ghana to rally behind Bawumia in the forthcoming 2024 elections to ensure the continuation of the NPP’s developmental initiatives.
In his address, President Akufo-Addo also took the opportunity to critique the opposition leader, John Dramani Mahama, encouraging voters to select Bawumia as the candidate best positioned to advance the progress achieved by the NPP.
In the nearly 20 years that I have been working with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, I have not had one day, one occasion to doubt his loyalty, to doubt his commitment to our common goal. And I have come here to ask you for your support to make Bawumia break the 8.
I see that the former president is saying all kinds of things about the number 8 that he chose. That it means he is going to win. Breaking the 8 and having the number 8, that is not a good sign at all.
