ELECTION 2024: AFENYO-MARKIN URGES GHANAIANS TO AVOID TROUBLE ON DECEMBER 7

The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has urged the youth to refrain from violence ahead of the upcoming elections.

According to the lawmaker, political party supporters should prioritize issue-based campaigns that showcase the achievements of their respective parties, rather than resorting to confrontations or unrest.

Speaking at the annual Teachers’ Awards ceremony in his constituency, the Majority Leader in Parliament emphasized that any individual caught engaging in acts of violence will face the full force of the law.

He cautioned that no politician would intervene to secure the release of offenders, reinforcing the need for peaceful and lawful conduct during the election period.

A reminder to those of you who are foot soldiers, who are busy with the politics in our communities. We the political class in parliament are friends to each other and one another. We do not fight. We engage each other

So if you are here and you are going to pull a knife because somebody disagrees with you, I am sorry when things go bad, you may not find that politician who is a beneficiary of your conduct following you

The political party may even disown you, so let’s be careful
