Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has asserted that it is time to free the Ahafo Region from the ongoing electoral violence that politicians instigate during each election cycle.
He cautioned that individuals who seek to provoke unrest will be subject to legal repercussions.
During his campaign tour in Ayomso, located in the Asunafo North Constituency, Dr. Opoku Prempeh remarked,
Those who typically incite the youth to cause violence are often those who have their families residing abroad. This election is about ideas and advocating for national development, not about violence.
He encouraged NPP supporters in the area to remain steadfast against any efforts to incite them into engaging in violent confrontations.
The law will deal with anyone who tries to make the region notorious for violence due to their own selfish interests.
Evans Opoku Bobie, the Member of Parliament for Asunafo South and the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, emphasized to the residents of the region that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) represents the most favorable choice for progress. He urged the voters, stating.
Give me another term to continue with the projects I have already started.
