The presidential candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has asserted that the forthcoming elections on December 7 will be determined by the party’s performance and achievements rather than by insults.
This statement was made in response to former President John Mahama’s remarks, in which he referred to the agenda of the Bawumia-led NPP as ‘stupid.’
During a campaign rally in the Oforikrom constituency, Dr. Bawumia underscored the NPP’s track record of implementing significant policies over the past eight years, which he claimed have positively impacted nearly every household in Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia further pointed out that while the NPP has produced tangible results, the NDC does not possess comparable achievements to present.
Insults and personal attacks won’t decide this election—ideas and records will.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, commonly referred to as Wontumi, expressed the party’s dedication to securing a significant victory, targeting an 80% share of the vote in the Ashanti Region.
He reassured party supporters that the NPP is fully mobilizing efforts to attain another term, emphasizing its track record in governance.
