FIRST LADY CALLS ON ELECTORATE TO VOTE MASSIVELY FOR NPP

The First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has urged the electorate to cast their votes in large numbers for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on December 7, emphasizing the importance of continuity and economic prosperity for the nation.

She also encouraged voters to support NPP parliamentary candidates to ensure the ongoing success of the government’s initiatives. This appeal was made during a campaign event in the Ablekuma Central Constituency, where she accompanied parliamentary aspirant Jefferson K. Sackey in presenting his vision for women in the area.

Mrs. Akufo-Addo asserted that only by voting for the NPP could the party’s positive intentions for the country be realized. She highlighted that a vote for the NPP, under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia, would ensure the continuation of beneficial programs such as Free SHS and Agenda 111.

The First Lady emphasized that the NPP is a party capable of delivering on its campaign promises and urged the women present to act as ambassadors for the party, sharing its achievements with the broader electorate to prevent misinformation.

She called on the residents of Ablekuma Central Constituency to support Mr. Sackey, describing him as a youthful and dynamic candidate committed to the welfare of the community.

Mrs. Akufo-Addo warned that voting against the NPP in both the presidential and parliamentary elections could hinder the country’s development, urging voters to make informed choices.

She appealed to all Ghanaians to place their confidence in Dr. Bawumia, who she believes will guide the nation toward greater prosperity. In response, Mr. Sackey expressed his commitment to enhancing the well-being of women in the constituency by ensuring their economic and social empowerment.

He promised to expand and sustain a financing program for market women in the constituency if elected as their Member of Parliament. He also committed to completing the second phase of a market project in Sukura within three months of taking office as Member of Parliament.

This project was initiated by the previous NPP MP for the area but had been left unfinished by the current NDC MP. Mr. Sackey expressed his intention to empower more women and youth in the community by providing skills training and creating job opportunities.

He emphasized that the advancement of women in his constituency is of great importance to him, as women are fundamental to the development of any nation.

Subsequently, the First Lady visited the Klottey Korle Constituency, where the Parliamentary Candidate, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey, encouraged voters to support the NPP if they wish to continue benefiting from improvements in health, education, and overall well-being.
