The NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has responded assertively to his primary rival, John Dramani Mahama, regarding Mahama’s remarks that “Ghana is bleeding, and its soul is crying for change.”
During the launch of the 2024 Manifesto for the opposition National Democratic Congress on Saturday, August 24, former President John Mahama, who serves as the party’s flagbearer, delivered a speech.
Tomorrow, we take the first step towards resetting our dear nation Ghana. We face challenges that have held us back for too long but now it’s time to build the Ghana we all want together…Tomorrow, we begin the journey together.
During his interaction with media professionals on Sunday, August 25, Dr. Bawumia stated that Ghana does not require a reset, as proposed by Mahama.
Instead, he emphasized the necessity for innovative ideas outlined in his manifesto to advance the economy. He believes that his policies are essential for propelling Ghana’s development forward.
What this country needs is an upgrade, not reset. And if given the mandate, I will roll out the measures outlined in our recently launched manifesto to revamp the economy.
Sometimes I get amazed when former president Mahama talks about economic mismanagement. He should know his own record”, he said.
He urged Ghanaians to opt for him to win the December presidential elections stating “I represent the future, and Ghana needs an upgrade, not a reset.
