GHANA TO TAP INTO $4 BILLION DIGITAL ECONOMY UNDER BAWUMIA’S LEADERSHIP – AKBAR YUSSIF ROHULLAH

Akbar Yussif Rohullah, Vice Presidential Aide, revealed a transformative vision for Ghana’s economic future under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

During an appearance on the “Good Evening Ghana” show with Paul Adom Otchere, Rohullah emphasized the NPP’s commitment to making digital skills and jobs a cornerstone of the country’s development strategy.

According to a recent report by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Africa is expected to create 230 million digital jobs by 2030, with Ghana potentially securing up to 9 million of those jobs. Rohullah explained that the NPP, under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, is set to focus on training 1 million young people in digital skills over the next four years. This training will prepare the workforce for these emerging opportunities, helping to tap into an estimated $4 billion economic value that Ghana stands to gain.

This is not just about creating jobs; it’s about positioning Ghana as a leader in the global digital economy. Dr. Bawumia’s vision is to empower our youth and secure a prosperous future for all Ghanaians

He further highlighted that the plan is to build on the existing digital infrastructure and educational reforms introduced by the NPP over the past seven years. By doing so, Dr. Bawumia aims to ensure that Ghana’s youth are well-equipped to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the digital revolution.

This focus on digital skills is expected to drive significant economic growth, reduce unemployment, and secure a prosperous future for Ghana under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership.
