GHANA WILL PROSPER WITH NPP IN POWER – DR. BAWUMIA DECLARES

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has boldly asserted that Ghana will experience remarkable growth and development if the NPP continues to lead the country.

During his constituency-focused tour in the Okaikoi South constituency, he underscored the party’s unwavering commitment to policies aimed at uplifting the quality of life for all Ghanaians and creating a more conducive environment for business expansion.

Speaking passionately at a campaign stop at the Kaneshie market, Dr. Bawumia outlined his comprehensive vision for Ghana’s future. He emphasized that the NPP has a well-defined roadmap to drive economic development and significantly improve the overall well-being of Ghanaians.

Our policies are not just promises; they are concrete steps toward creating a prosperous and inclusive Ghana

Among the key policy initiatives Dr. Bawumia highlighted is the introduction of a flat tax policy in cedis, applicable to all goods. He explained that this move would simplify the tax system and make Ghana’s import duties comparable to or even lower than those of neighboring countries like Togo.

Dr. Bawumia also announced plans for a tax amnesty to prevent confusion with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), further showcasing his focus on creating a business-friendly environment. Additionally, he emphasized the NPP’s commitment to supporting small businesses and women traders through the establishment of an SME bank and a Women’s Trade Empowerment Fund.

We are introducing a new directive to reform the import regime at the Port, including a flat tax policy in cedis, applicable to all goods. This will simplify the tax system and reduce the burden on businesses.

The NPP flagbearer went on to unveil a series of forward-looking policies aimed at modernizing the economy and enhancing the quality of life for Ghanaians. These include scrapping import duties on mobile phones, extending the validity of driving licenses to 10 years, and abolishing the controversial e-levy adding that the NPP is committed to reducing unnecessary burdens on citizens. Furthermore, he pledged to provide digital skills training for the youth, preparing them for future job markets and positioning Ghana as a leader in digital transformation.

Urging voters to support his bid for the presidency, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of accountability in governance. He pointed out that unlike his opponent, former President John Dramani Mahama, who would only be accountable for a single four-year term, he would have a longer mandate to implement his transformative agenda.

If you vote for former President Mahama, he will only be accountable for four years. However, if you vote for me, I will have the opportunity to be accountable to you for a longer period

Dr. Bawumia’s message clearly resonated with the audience, who appreciated his focus on practical solutions to Ghana’s pressing challenges. His vision for a prosperous Ghana, driven by strategic reforms and innovative policies, has set the stage for dynamic and forward-thinking leadership under the NPP. His commitment to transparency, economic growth, and social empowerment continues to inspire many Ghanaians who are eager for a future filled with possibilities.
