The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged the Chiefs and residents of Bekwai to hold him accountable should he fail to fulfill his commitments.
This appeal was made during a stakeholder engagement as part of his campaign tour across four constituencies, which includes Bosomtwe, Ejisu, and Asokwa.
In his address, Dr. Bawumia conveyed his confidence in the policies and solutions he has proposed, emphasizing his awareness of the challenges faced by the community and his readiness to tackle them with decisive measures.
He assured the residents of his intention to earn their trust for the full eight-year term permitted, promising to return in four years to seek a renewal of his mandate if he successfully meets his obligations. He emphasized that he would not let them down if afforded the opportunity to serve.
In response, Nana Okyere Kusi Ntrama, the Chief of Asumagya and Otumfuo’s Benkumhene, acknowledged that the NPP government has already commenced several road projects in the region.
He expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s capability to see these projects through to completion. Nana Ntrama also pointed out other pressing needs within the community, urging for ongoing support from the government
