HOW I WILL LOWER LIVING EXPENSES UNDER MY GOVERNMENT – BAWUMIA OUTLINES

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has proposed policies that he would carry out as president to improve the lot of Ghanaians.

The state of the populace as a result of the global difficulties cannot be disregarded, even though it is true that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration has made significant progress in the areas of infrastructure and other economic sectors to enhance the living conditions of Ghanaians.

Thus, in a speech to a crowd in Ada while on a campaign tour, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia reaffirmed his sincere intention to launch development initiatives that will have a substantial positive influence on people’s lives.

He mentioned a number of topics, among many others, on which he would like to concentrate his efforts to make sure Ghanaians benefit from his presidency.

He outlined his plans to work toward bettering everything from the cost of living to agriculture.

On agriculture, he said; “I believe that we are still an agriculture country and any government has to pay a lot attention to agriculture and fishing in our economy. That is what drives the economy. 60% of our population – North, South East and West – engage in agriculture and fishing. This is where I want to focus to bring in technology to our agriculture.”

He continued he will make loans accessible to farmers to help them. “To bring credit and loans to the farmers, so that they can expand their production. Through this, they can also obtain the needed farming implements and equipment that will allow them to have large-scale farming to ensure that we bring food prices down and ensure food security.”

Dr. Bawumia declared that his government will prioritize technology and implement programs to support agriculture in order to increase food security and lower food prices.

He added that in order to lower transportation costs, his government will concentrate on introducing electric buses for public transit. Numerous other initiatives will also be implemented to lower living expenses.
