Vice President and Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed joy at the LEADing Justice Initiative by the Chief Justice.
Dr. Bawumia launched the strategic initiative of Chief Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo, titled LEADing Justice yesterday, where he expressed his joy about the initiative putting emphasis on the fact that the initiative is jeered towards digitalization.
He revealed that the implementation of other digitalization policies such as the Electronic Case Tracking System and the E- Justice system has greatly impacted the Judicial system and such the introduction of this strategic vision by the Chief Justice which was born out of the idea of digitalization is a great one.
Having launched the Electronic Case Tracking System for the criminal justice sector in 2018 and also witnessing the positive impact the e-justice system, which was launched a year later, is having on the administration of justice, I am delighted that digitalization is a key component of this strategic vision of the Chief Justice.
Speaking at the launch of the initiative, he mentioned that digitalization plays a pivotal role in the expansion and development of the judicial system and the administering of justice in the country. Dr. Bawumia has stressed on the importance of digitalization towards developing and transforming the country and believes the only way forward is through digitalization.
It was refreshing to note that one of the key components of LEADing Justice, is digitalization, which is crucial to the advancement of the Judicial system and the delivery of justice in Ghana.
