President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has shown faith in the capability of the Bawumia-Opoku Prempeh team to meet the expectations of the Ghanaian people.
During the unveiling of the NPP flagbearer and running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh at the Manhyia Palace on Tuesday, July 9, Mr. Akufo-Addo stated that he has collaborated with these two individuals and can attest to their dedication and competence.
I have trust and confidence in the two of them to do the work. I have worked with the two and I know that they can do. I know that on the 7th of December when Ghanaians have given them the mandate they will work to meet the expectations of Ghana.
The emergency meeting held in Accra last week Thursday, July 4, saw Dr Opoku Prempeh being unanimously endorsed by the National Council of the NPP.
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, following the meeting, expressed his commitment to supporting Dr Bawumia in leading a strong 2024 campaign to disrupt the 8-year election cycle.
He emphasized the importance of unity among NPP members in order to achieve their shared vision of transforming Ghana into a prosperous nation.
He conveyed his appreciation to the National Council, the grassroots members of the NPP, and the respected President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for their consistent backing and trust in him, he stated in a release following the unanimous endorsement by the National Council of the NPP as the running mate on Thursday, July 3.
