I HAVE SHIFTED GHANA’S POLITICAL DISCOURSE FROM RHETORIC TO SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES – DR. BAWUMIA

The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) asserts that he has effectively transformed the political dialogue in Ghana by moving it from superficial discussions to meaningful, issue-oriented conversations.

During his address at the Ghana CEO Presidential Gala at the Movenpick Hotel on Thursday, November 7, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia underscored the necessity of tackling genuine issues through discussions supported by data, rather than resorting to hollow political rhetoric.

He remarked that throughout his tenure in public service, especially in his role as Vice President, he has consistently prioritized finding solutions to Ghana’s most urgent problems.

He emphasized his dedication to proposing policies that are not merely aspirational but are also based on concrete data and evidence capable of propelling the nation forward.

The NPP candidate pointed out that political discourse in Ghana has historically been characterized by ambiguous promises and political theatrics.

He contended that his methodology has introduced a new standard of accountability into political discussions, concentrating on critical issues such as economic development, infrastructure enhancement, and job creation.

Bawumia concluded by affirming that this shift in focus is vital for the advancement and development of Ghana, asserting that only through informed, issue-focused discussions can the nation progress. He committed to continuing this type of dialogue if given the opportunity to lead the country as president.

Ladies and Gentlemen, as a distinguished group of Ghanaians, CEOs, your contributions can elevate Ghana’s political discourse from sheer rhetoric and disingenuous manipulation of information to real issue-based civic discourse.

This is what I have championed over the years; a focus on issue-based and data-backed public conversations. One such topic is how to reignite the business economy in Ghana.
