Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed that his campaign tour commenced with religious leaders due to his unwavering faith in the lord.
During what is anticipated to be a busy day in the Eastern Region, Dr. Bawumia commenced the day by convening for breakfast with religious leaders in Akropong. The gathering was well-attended, with Christian leaders from various denominations present, alongside the regional Chief Imam and other Islamic clerics in the area.
Dr. Bawumia, in his address to the religious leaders, expressed his decision to commence the regional campaign tour by engaging with them. This choice was driven by his strong conviction in seeking the divine blessings of God in all his endeavors.
I took this decision because of my faith in the Lord. If you follow the Lord, all other things will follow.
He emphasized his dedication to being accessible and sharing his goals, as well as seeking the support of those he is speaking to and the people of Ghana, in his pursuit of leading the nation.
