The Okyehene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Pannin, has commended the efforts of the NPP’s Running Mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, which significantly contributed to the successful execution of the Free Senior High School policy, now recognized internationally.
Today, the Okyehene received Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and his delegation at Ofori Panin Fie in Kyebi as he embarks on a week-long tour of the Eastern Region, focusing on the Abuakwa South and Fanteakwa North constituencies.
In his speech, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin lauded Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, affectionately known as NAPO, for his determination and bravery in answering President Akufo-Addo’s call to implement the Free SHS policy, which has garnered global acclaim.
The Okyehene further stated that Dr. Opoku Prempeh and the NPP have commendable plans for the nation, emphasizing that while traditional leaders are prohibited from engaging he will consistently suin partisan politics, pport candidates who contribute positively to society.
In response, NAPO reflected on the discussions he had with the President regarding the policy during the NDC election petition, asserting that had the party been in power in 2012, the initiative would have been launched despite widespread skepticism about its viability.
