Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has conveyed his belief in the party’s potential for success in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
He emphasized that the various initiatives and policies introduced by the Akufo-Addo government are being well-received by the public. Speaking to Africa Watch Magazine, Dr Bawumia expressed,
Despite the unpredictability of elections, I maintain a positive outlook on our likelihood of winning in the December elections. The policies and initiatives we have put in place have had a beneficial impact on people’s lives, connecting with voters across the country.
I’m committed to engaging with the electorate, addressing their concerns, and presenting a compelling vision for Ghana’s future. I trust in the democratic process and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our nation. With hard work and dedication, I believe we can achieve success and ‘break the eight’. It’s possible.
Additionally, he mentioned that the NPP is in the process of recruiting volunteers and providing training for party agents in order to guarantee a successful voter turnout and monitoring during Election Day.
