PULSE, which stands for Public Understanding and Literacy for Sentiment and Election Analysis, is now considered an essential instrument for assessing the opinions of Ghanaians by analyzing sentiments on different social media platforms.

The analysis in the report explores the feelings related to prominent political candidates, particularly concentrating on the NPP and the Opposition, along with new players and independent candidates.

IMANI’s analysis revealed intriguing shifts in sentiment dynamics during the latest episode, occurring from March 26th to April 29th, 2024.

Positive Sentiment

The NPP continues to build on its momentum from the prior month, experiencing a significant rise in positive sentiment, reaching approximately 15.32%. On the other hand, the Opposition’s positive sentiment remains fairly consistent at 9.48%, showing a slight improvement compared to the previous reporting period.
