The Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to rally behind her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, in the upcoming general elections.
She highlighted his leadership qualities, including his integrity, intelligence, and problem-solving mindset, as crucial for tackling the country’s challenges and meeting the aspirations of the youth.
At the launch of a book organised by her “Samira Bawumia Literacy Prize” initiative in Accra on Monday, November 18, the Second Lady expressed strong confidence in her husband’s ability to address Ghana’s challenges.
She emphasised Dr. Bawumia’s innovative ideas and his deep sense of responsibility as key qualities that distinguish him as a leader capable of driving meaningful change.
Samira Bawumia highlighted that her husband’s vision for Ghana’s future focuses on creating opportunities for the youth and developing sustainable solutions to the country’s problems.
She also pointed out that Dr. Bawumia’s proven leadership record reflects his dedication to improving the lives of all Ghanaians.
He has solutions to our problems. Dr Bawumia is a very intelligent man. He is an honest man. He works very hard and applies himself, and this is a man bursting with ideas and doesn’t always do the same things and expects different results
Bawumia is always thinking outside the box, and I think that is the kind of leadership we need as young people. We need somebody who will leapfrog Ghana’s development. We need somebody who can look beyond where we are at and say, ‘Look, we can do better and we can do it in a faster way to get to where we are going
